Why seal carving?
Seal carving brings together design, carving and printmaking in a process that is tactile, contemplative, and accessible to beginners. Rooted in a centuries-old Chinese tradition, it offers a hands-on way to encounter Chinese visual culture while engaging with the pleasure of making something by hand. Participants leave with a finished object of their own, as well as a glimpse into a living tradition that continues to evolve today.
