How it works
We begin with a chat about who the seal is for and what they're like – their character, their relationship to their name, and the occasion.
Based on what you share, I suggest script styles, design directions and suitable stones. Together, we refine the options until they feel like the right fit for the person and purpose.
Once we've settled on a creative direction, I prepare a small selection of sketches for your consideration. This stage typically takes three to five weeks and may involve a round of refinements.
With the design confirmed, I begin carving by hand. Every stone responds differently to the carving knife, so each seal carries subtle variations shaped by both the material and the maker.
When the carving is completed, I'll send photographs of the finished seal before carefully packing it for collection or shipping. Each commission includes an impression on deckle-edged cotton paper as a keepsake and reference.
Good to know
Most commissions are completed within four to eight weeks from our initial consultation.
Pricing depends on stone type, size, and design complexity. A single-character seal typically starts around 500 SGD; a paired three-character wedding set starts around 1,600 SGD.
